i say if u want ti replaced complain to them like hell and they will give you a new replacement.. i got that and a 150 bux! :approve: but my problem was a dent like someone jammed the slylus into the screen before it was shipped to me? idk w/e gets the job done! :approve:

xx1995m3xX, what did you tell them? My replacment is worst than the one I had, and I just have it for 4 days. I cannot use it at all, I called them up today, they told me I must return the one I had before I could get my 3rd replacment. That mean I will have to wait for them to receive the first one, then another 24 hours to transfer the warranty to the replacement I am using, then make a new replacment order. It will take like a week and I cannot do without my PDA for a day...

They don't seem to care and I wish I had stay with my 33MHz Sony Clie, it had never had problem during 5 years of use.

complaining works

well actually what happened was i got a damaged x50v, so they sent a replacement and i got a refurbished x50v and i told them i wanted a new one so they said to ship the replacement back well i sent it back and i didnt hear from them for a week so i called them and they forgot to ship it and i guess they forgot that they said they would give me a new one, so i told them if they are going to give me a refurb i want 50 bux from them so they gave the 50 bux and sent a refurb, then the screen was messed up so i sent that back called dell then i complained to them and told them that they are the worst service ive ever had and a bunch of other crap... and the girl is like sorry fo the trouble i can give you a 50 coupon, so i was like hell yea! then a week later i got another refurb.... it had a damaged screem again!! so i send that back somplain to them and tell them im wanting to use the coupon for a extended battery and it say i have to buy 2 things? so i complain and they finally give me a 100 coupon then i told them to stop sendign crappy replacements so i get the new one and the screen is crappy!!!! i flip out and i post on here and someone tells me to clean the screen with some cleaner and i used i and it fixed all the problems... then a moire or w/e showed up and did go away for about 2 weeks so i sent it back, and now they are sending a new one at the moment it should be here tomorow! and i still have the 100 coupon! im buying a 512 MB CompactFlash Card , Mobile Cassette Adapter for Dell DJ, 1100 mAh Secondary Battery for Dell Axim X50/X50v Handhelds, USB 2.0 8N1 MEDIA READER , all that for a whopping!!!!!! $29.31 :approve: this is gonna be a good summer
the only bad part is i probably spent 20 hrs on the phone if not more, and i am not joking....

well sorry to hear that, it sounded even worst than my situation. I would just like a working unit instead of 150 bucks though :)
I will give it a shot see if they can send me a new unit and hope it solves the problem

anyone thought of a software conflict? I tried to convince my friend that it's a hardware problem, I told him I didn't a hard reset and the problem still there...He said it could be some softwares and stuff screwed up the ROM... man, i wish it's a software thing but it doesn't look like it.

I got a bump, still happy, no problems and screen taps have been on point.

hot dang .. how long did THIS take? i thought i had it bad .. but it was through email until i had the time to call them while they were still open. took me nearly 5 months to finally get an axim that was new AND worked.

i gotta bump, too...same place. doesn't affect performance for me and i'm sure it's within the manufacturing tolerances.

I got a bump on mine (X50v)
But I don't think it's the screen but rather the strip
accross the top that has the dell logo on it.
If I press on the left side the gap on the left side dissappears.
Otherwise everything works great.
