Add me to the list of people with a bump in the bottom left corner. It doesnt appear to have any detrimental effects though.

I fixed the bump by taking my thumb nail and wedging it inbetween the screen and frame, run your nail up and down a few times and it should disappear. at least mine did. seems to be just how they were fitted togeather.

Here is a picture of the digitizer where the wires come off. This is where the bump is and appears on most PDA digitizers - some are just more pronounced than others. It 'should' not affect the operation or accuracy in any way.

My X50v has no such bumps, anywhere :). I got it last Friday. Bought it from eBay though, so it might have been at the shippers warehouse for a while. It came with A02, so it's not THAT new.

I just got my Axim. It's hardware A04, and it too has the bump. Also at the top of my screen there's a half circle dead spot on the screen. I'm currently waiting for a stupid Dell agent to get his arse on the chat so I can talk replacement. Dead spots are totally unacceptable.

Yup, I got it too. Same place and everything. No problems though (fingers crossed). I love my Axim.

nope, no bump on mine.
It does however bring up a valid question for those not in the know, what is a good screen protector?

My x50v does not have a real "bump". It gets fluffier on the center (even more if I compare it with my brother's ipaq rx3715). I have no alignment issues like I used to with the first device I recieved. Does anyone know if all x50vs have this "fluffy" feeling?
