Wireless connectivity issues with A03 ROM upgrade

Ever since I did the A03 ROM upgrade on my x50v back in April, I've been unable to connect to my home WiFi. I've spent several hours with Dell and my problem still exists, somewhat. My original Dell has an A01 hardware version and the upgrade to A03 trashed my ability to use WiFi anywhere.

Dell sent me a refurbished unit that with an A03 hardware version and the A03 ROM version. That did not work either. I returned that and Dell sent me an A03 hardware version with the A02 ROM version. That one works at my free wireless spot but not on my home unit. Nothing on my home unit has changed.

My questions:

1. Exactly what did Dell change in the firmware from A01 to A02 and from A02 to A03?

2. Has anyone else been having this problem? If so, what have you done to fix it?

3. Has someone done an analysis of the different hardware version and what issues have occurred with them with different ROM upgrades?

It appears the only way for me to get where I was a month ago is to have Dell take my original A01 hardware and put the A02 ROM upgrade on it. If only I could take back time and downgrade the ROM. But, alas, that's not possible.

Thoughts, suggestions?

Thanks.

Larry

My connetivity has gotten better and faster with A03. I remember being asked if I wanted to save my previous rom before I updated, if you did that you should be able to restore back. Run the update exe and see if it gives you the option to restore.

Thanks, CalgaryCowboy. I forgot about that option. I'll try that this afternoon when I get home.
