I'm confused. What are you (and others) saying is fake?

WM 5 on that particular device?
The video demos that run that pretty?
Or the fact that that event took place and the videos that were shot were really being done on an Axim x50v?

Now if only some damn developers would USE the power of this device and MAKE A GAME THAT LOOKS AWESOME!

hell, i'd buy the bluetooth gamepad for $100 if I had a decent game to play on my x50v! I want to get into programming simply to create an awesome game that's PLAYABLE (not a FPS), and show the PSP people that their device pales in comparison to ours! :)

I've written a few review sites to see if they can ask companies why they don't have any games out, and gotten a few positive responses that they will ask. I wonder what good companies like astraware and pdamill are thinking by NOT developing for opengl es and the 2700g.

BTW, i've seen the yeti game, and the solterra game... and quite frankly they look/play like crap. if there was a game that looked NEARLY as good as these demos, i'd be one happy person!

if it's not a fake then ->
where is a single pic from wm5?,
where is a single pic from futuremark demo in wm5 file explorer, single pic from for example Internet expoler in VGA, others programs in wm5.

I download Quake3 trailer and record video when x50v (betaplayer) plays this.
And put this on webpage with this description: "Quake3 on x50v with Windows Mobile 2013 and half" you will believe it too?

Why is it so hard to believe when it will be released to us in a month or so? Surely Dell has some working test ROMs and are hot and heavy into getting this upgrade out. If Dell didn't announce that the upgrade would be available for the x50v then I could see your point, but the announcements been made and MS has already released WM 5 to the manufacturers...time to believe...time to believe...

Actually we should be very worried if they Don't have some ready to go. All that bug testing is going to take some time...

The reason why there are no 3d games for the ppc is that nintendo and sony and probably xbox too pressure the game developers into not making them because it would ruin their sales of their portable game devices. If you had the choice of a ppc that can do it all even the games they are using or by a gameboy or psp which would you choose assuming you could get a proper gamepad for the pda?

I disagree - there is no conspiracy. IMO, the reason that there aren't any cool PPC games is that the market isn't big enough to justify spending resources to port games to Open-GL ES. Hopefully with Direct X and WM5, porting games will be significantly easier and the game companies can make money.

How many x50v units are out there, really? Even if you assume that half of x50v owners would buy a game (reality would be much smaller - say 5 to 10% of the installed base), the game companies are looking at an upside potential of maybe 100K for a single game. Way too risky to justify paying multiple developers and testers salary for any length of time.
