Keep Losing Sound

I keep losing sound and I can`t figure why. I just installed Magic Button and my sound had gone. I did a soft reset and it was back again. Then I designated a button to the Magic Button and once again, my sound has gone.
Any help please?

ive had a similer problem, a while back i could only get sound through one of my headphones. The problem was intermittent but it sorted out when i used the HP wireless headphones, so i think the problem was on the hardware socket.

oh my... last week my Axim just started messing up in the headphone department. I listen to music alot so that little issue wasn't gonna fly at all with me. i just received my replacement x50 today and am trying it out. I thought i was the only problem with this issue >,< i had to continuously jiggle it around to get any type of sound, often distorted, through multiple headphones.

I had a problem where my sound would cut out and come back after hard resets.
I then discovered that it would come back if I repeatedly and quickly hit the power button.
Dell finally replaced the unit.

My sound loss doesn`t seem to be linked with the headphone socket. The loss is total. It seems to happen when I try something different. I installed Magic Button and lost the sound. When I uninstalled, the sound was still lost. I did a soft reset and the sound was back.
Same thing when I found and used the switcher bar.
Again, a soft reset cured the problem.
The only programs I`ve installed are Pocket Fritz and pocket DVD Studio.
Is a hard reset much of a job? I have nothing on there that can`t be replaced very quickly.
