X50V Registry entry for Preamble Length?

I need to try to adjust the premable length for wireless on my x50v because I have no access to change it (or to find out the current setting) on the access point I need to connect to, because it is at work and is not going to change.

So, does anyone know the registry entry, values, and their meanings, to adjust preamble length on the x50v? Is it dot11ShortPreambleInvoked?

Does anyone know any way to change the preamble on the x50v, since I have no access to change it on the wireless access point at work? I believe that it may be a good thing for me to try, since I was told that they had to change the setting on the AP (possibly to "long", not sure what they set it to) for some standard config that they had to follow.
