New Menu is backwards

I found this to be odd: When I check "Turn on New button menu" the menu is gone. If I keep it unchecked it comes back. Shouldn't it be the other way around?

Same with mine. When I check the box that says "Turn on New button menu", the new menu is there. When I uncheck the box, the new menu is still there.

The word "New" should always be there. Checking/unchecking the box should make the arrow button next to it appear/disappear.

On my Axim it's backwards. The arrow appears when it's unchecked and disappears when I check the box.
