Connecting to Wi-fi internet

Hi ppl...
I have a X50v and the Winc to scan Wi-fi network. But when i tried to connect to the network this messege appears:

"Internet is not connected properly. You may check your association security settings and Ip propertis"

The network is from a friend of mine and have not password or authentication... What IP should i chose to connect... I have the settings by default...
