Dell is driving me insane, WM2005 info for new Axims

Here's my story and I'm sticking to it!

1) order x50 412mhz, unfortunately at sales time I did not know much about this product but was told it was quailty and had bluetooth and 802.11b integrated... as I now know it does not have 802.11b but the kicker was even the sales rep reassured it me that it was integrated and I was good to go (bad research on my part)

2) I get Axim, find no 802.11b, called Dell and informed them of this issue, due to the sales rep mistake they are sending me a sdio 802.11b card for .23 cents (don't ask)

the above is all day 1 and 4 calls later

3) I find out that the X50 are now shipping with MS Mobile 5 upgrade (2 days after my order was setup) but no at Dell knows of this, 5 more phone calls and 3 chat supports later I get through to someone that says "oh yea we are shipping them and we have new Axims for sale"... I inform him my unit is 2 days out the box and was wondering why I did not recieve information about this (unfortunaely at this point I've been on the phone with Dell for over 4 hours in the first 2 days and was starting to lack some congenality). He stated that basically no one besides customer care knows this information and he put an order in for my upgraode to be shipped on the 30th....

for those of you who just purchased an Axim enjoy speaking with customer care and I hope you get someone that has information of this, if not try try again......

I contacted Dell.ca today. I received my X50v last friday. But their online support is by far the wrost you can imagine.. I will probably have no reply and I have no time to waste on phone (last time it took me 40 minutes only to have someone on the phone)

Hmm -

I just ordered mine Sunday - and shipped today. Wonder if I will receive the free upgrade path without having to ask - or if I will have to beg. . .

The site does say "Purchase a PDA today and your upgrade CD will ship in October when available (CD shipping extra)"

I'll wait and see if there's any info in the box when it arrives - and if not begin the task of calling cust. svc.

EDIT
I just put one in my cart (same 30% off deal- but higher overall price than Sunday) and it added a line to the order that mine didn't have as follows:

"Operating System Free Windows Mobile 5.0™ Upgrade CD w/any X50 Order Will Ship in Octo FREEOS [464-1791]"

I guess I'll probably have to call...

Thanks :)

Base Price on the x50v is now exactly $39.00 higher (from what I paid on Sunday).

That doesn't sound like 'Free' to me unless it's a mail in rebate or something that you have to send in later. The details on the offer are pretty limited with no 'fine print' to clarify.
