VGA picture quality question

Hello to all,

Thanks to everyone on this site :approve: I have my a50v doing everything I want, i-net, movies, music, streamimg radio and pictures. I am very pleased with the way movies and pics look, my question is will a program like oZ_VGA or sE_VGA make them
look better. Or can someone recomend a tweak that will? I am really not sure what there programs do.

Thanks as always
Patrick

oZ_VGA or SE_VGA will not make them look better, but it may allow you to view more of your picture due to the small menus, buttons, etc..

Regarding images and video viewed full-screen, the answer is "no". There seems to be a misconception among some people that by using something like OzVGA or SE_VGA, that pictures and video viewed full-screen will look better. This is simply not the case. If I view a 640x480 image full-screen, it will look the same in Standard VGA or True VGA. All the pixels on my 640x480 Axim X50v screen will be utilized to correctly render the image regardless of which mode I am in.

When it comes to something like viewing a web page or an eBook, the extra real estate gained in True VGA mode can defintely be advantageous, however, you will probably have to do some tweaking to get the font sizes just right while using those applications.

Yes.. finally a good explanation about these vga hacks.. personally, i'm just thrilled with the "normal" vga look of my x50v.. but, I can see where having a smaller screen would be advantageous for web browsing and ebook reading. thx!
