Mad Weird happening

Hi,

I just got the X50V and installed the ff: SPB Plus, Pocket Quicken demo, Picture Password, Betaplayer, eWallet 4.0, Agenda Fusion 6.01. I have set in Picture Password, which takes over the Password settings in Windows 2003 to be alphanumeric (length of 9), now my quicken has a numeric password which has a length of 4 numbers.

Now the funny thing is, when ever I turn on my Axim, it gives me a light blue numeric keypad and on the top left it says Password and shows my Owner information (name and phone number). Now, this tells me that it is asking for a numeric password, not the system password which I had entered in Picture password. Would it be possible that it is the Quicken password, but the program is not running yet, but in any case, I enter it but won't accept it. I have done a soft reset and this numeric keypad for password keeps appearing.

I therefore cannot get into my Axim unless I do a hard reboot. Is there any other choice?

Please advise and thank you.

That light-blue keypad is the Windows OS password config. Only way around that (as far as I know) is either you know the PW or you hard-reset.

Is this the same as the system password setting...so Windows OS password is numeric and not alphanumeric...

Yes, the same. It depends on which type of PW encryption you selected when you enabled the PW protection. I have mine set to just straight numeric but there is an alphanumeric setting as well.
