but i'll put it this way- it took 2min 17sec to tx 14.7m worth of mp3 through a.s., and only 16sec with card export. the util works well enough for me.
I don't think so. I think a USB 2 card reader is much faster than wifi.
I see this thread has been dead for a while but I have an issue regarding this topic. When I first got my Axim I used an SD card and transfered MP3s without a problem to the SD card right in my laptop (it has an SD slot built into it). Everything was fine. But now for some reason NOTHING I copy to the SD card this way will show up on the Axim. If I put it back into my laptop, no problem, there's everything. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? I hate transfering everything through ActiveSync... soooooo slooowwwww.

Make sure you wait a couple of mins after the bar has finished showing that it's copied on your laptop.

Well my Tosh Laptop says it's coppid stuff to the SD card... but I often have to give it a couple of exta mins for the stuff to actually get to the card

Well, unfortunately it didn't fix the problem. I just copied maybe 20 mp3s and a bunch of pictures. All show up when I put the SD card into my laptop, but they do NOT show up when I put the SD card in my Axim. Any other ideas? Thanks again!
