Moving programs to folders on x50v

I've got a ton of programs on my SD card...when i go to install them, i don't get an option to install to certain folders, the way you do in win xp. So my main directory for my sd card is loaded with stuff, and its a pain to "explore" it.

I want to create some folders such as Games and Apps and then move the various programs into those folders. Note that i'm not talking about moving from main to bis or bis to sd or anything like that.

Can i do this, or will it muck things up? Has anybody else done this, or do you just live with all the programs as is?

It depends on the application. For some, the only thing you will need to do is create a new shortcut in your programs folder, or wherever you access your apps from. Others however interact with other files in your system, and that connection will be lost, which may have a negative effect. It's pretty much trial and error.
