x50v: getting rid of the scrolling action in the Today screen?
to those that have a x50v... do you seem to notice that the "cursor" (or "highlight," if you prefer) moves down through the different plugins in the the Today screen (see attached pics)?
is there a way to stop this?
in my setup, i have PocketBreeze, and whenever i would want to use the D-pad to scroll through my Task list, the other "highlight" scrolls down at the same time - and it is way TOO annoying
i mean, my ol' Pocket Loox never had this... why now?
is there a hack to stop this? i would like my D-pad to only work with PB...
thanks...
PS: there are two pics attached, the first one would be when i press the D-pad down once, and the second is when i press the D-pad another time... as seen, it does not "highlight" the PocketPlus plugin
This may help.
Go into your PB settings-General Settings...
Under "Enable scroll with D-Pad," and "Enable tab movement with D-Pad," I would try checking both, then exit tapping the green check mark at the bottom.
Did that help at all?

yes, i did that, too...
actually, the attached diagrams are a little misleading... the scrolling action has always been there even before i installed PocketBreeze
and thus, when i enabled D-Pad movement/scrolling with PB - the default "scrolling" action gets in the way ---> when i scroll down through, say a PB task list, each of the other plugins gets highlighted, and it really irritates/annoys me...
The scrolling between plugins is something that MS added with WM2003 second edition, and you probably had WM2003 on your last device, and therefore you didn't had this effect.
PocketBreeze scrolling is designed to react to the D-Pad up and down buttons regardless to the other today screen plugins scrolling so it won't effect it in anyway, and therefore you see both PB scroll and the other today screen plugins together.
One of the things we might change is that WM2003 SE users and also with the upcoming WM5 OS, we will scroll PB only when the 'highlight' between the plugins will reach PocketBreeze, this way it might give the user a bit better scroll feeling, although we are still not sure if we will do this change or not, since we want to see if most users would like to see this change or not :)
I hope this explanation will help a bit to understand why you have this behavior on your new device which you didn't had before, although I'm not sure if there is a way to remove it

now that youve explained - i guess the mystery is solved...
and, as youve said - i guess there is no way out of it...
