Question WinMobile questions- My Documents

The handbook that came with my X50v is extremely superficial. I've encountered a few questions:
1. Can the My Documents directory be "moved" to the internal ROM (IROM) or an SD card and still sync?
2. Can you assign "drive letters" to the various storage devices?
3. Will Activesync sync folders/data and will applications "look" at the IROM and SD card for their data? Do you have to do something to "point" them there?
Thanks,
DW

You can't move the My Docs folder. However... if you create a My Docs folder on your storage card, it will "merge" the 2 when you view so the items show up from BOTH folders when you open My Docs. A little more confusing than a pc. As far as syncing goes, I believe it only syncs what is in Main Memory. I had a problem with Notes not syncing when stored anywhere else. I've been trying to read about the new Windows Mobile. I think it changes some of that.

You can assign drive letters but you have to get a program like pocket mechanic.

1. You can move the My documents folder to storage card or internal storage.

3. If you use Mighty sync together with Active Sync, you will be able to sync with your my documents folder on your storage card (or any other folder on your storage card for that matter)

programs will know to look on your SD card for files, even if you don't have a "My Documents" folder there. If you do create one, though, delete the hidden file "ignore_my_docs", otherwise the programs will overlook the my documents folder on your sd card...
