noob question

Ok, this is probably a dumb question, but here goes.

I have the extended battery and I think I read somewhere that you can charge the ppc and your spare battery at the same time. The cradle does have a connector coming out horizontally, but I would need an adapter for the spare battery to connect to it.

No connector needed. You put the spare battery flat into the cutout behind where the Axim sits. Just make sure the battery contacts are touching the cradle contacts.

Thanks both of you!

Maybe I didn't RTFM thoroughly in my impatience to play with it,but I don't think that is in the manual.
