Activesync add/remove weirdness

Okay, this is weird. Everytime I cradle my X50v, ActiveSync 3.8 pops up (which is normal) but now the Add/Remove Programs dialog pops open as well. Not a biggie and easy enough to close but very frustrating to have to do this everytime. Anyone know why this is happening?

You probably started installing something but were not and/or got disconnected. When you get the popup again just cancel it.

The program installation trigger this everytime until you fionish the installation. If you want to cancel this installation, in ActiveSync on your desktop, click Tools > Add/Remove Programs, and see if you can trace the program and delete.

I did further testing on this and an unfinished PPC installation folder for the software is located in C:\Program Files\Microsoft ActiveSync\ the program folder will be there. Also an .EXE file may be located in C:\Documents and Settings\your UserID\Recent.

Frenchy, in my experience you can just click on Delete and it won't prompt you again. Do you really need to delete all these files?

Thanks everyone for the replies. It turned out to be a bad program install (interupted by a power failure). I reinstalled the program and all is fine.
