So....

You want us to comment on how long a PDA that hasn't been released yet, and may not even exist might play MP3s?

or are you asking about the X50V?

7 or 8 hours possibly, depending on the source of mp3s, age of battery, and bitrate of mp3s.

same for me.. I guess more 10-11 hours.

btw CPU at auto will enable 104Mhz cpu, and mp3 play perfectly at this speed.

Use a SD card, GS Player (which will turn the screen right off) set the CPU to Auto (it should drop to 104Mhz) and with that combo you should get between 7-8 hrs mx with the 1100 battery. Mort player, although I haven't used it apparently is quite the battery saver too.

I have the best deal out of all of these. I was out mowing during the day and when i went to bed at eleven, my axim was still playing music and at a 14 percent charge.

I totalled this time up to be at least 10 hours.

Here is what I did.

I turned the ppc to auto (104 mhz)...

After that I set my music (Betaplayer) to shuffle the music in my SD card...

Hit play.

Used the free program that turns off the ppc screen entirely (Google it please, coudn't find freeware link) (Screen was now off entirely)

Set the ppc to lock mode (Button on the side)

Done.

I also had a 1 gig SD card and had reduced the bitrate of the music so it was still quality but about 1/3 the size... (No prob's with it since!!!)

That way i now have an ipod shuffle with a screen and good battery life!

This is with a 1100 mah battery and an axim x50 MID!

Hope this helps, might not work as well for x50v though...
