Worried Switcher Bar Stopped Initiating

I installed SPB Pocket Plus and now the switcher bar won't initiate when tapped from the settings menu. Any ideas why this is happening? Is there a compatibility issue between the two?

Thanks, Matt

Try a soft reset, sometime it will bring switch bar back. Otherwise, I am afraid you may need a clean re-install.

There is some overlap of functions in Spb and the Switcher Bar. I think the problem is that both are acting as task managers - try disabling the task manager function of Spb and see if that helps.

This is a known incompatibility issue between Switcher Bar and Pocket Plus 2.5. I believe that it's documented on spb's support site. You can use Magic Button to do the same thing as Switcher Bar and more with fewer issues, but Pocket Plus has its own task switching capability.

I ended up getting magic button and using it with pocket plus. I haven't figured out the functionality of pocket plus and task switching yet.... I guess what I liked about switcher bar is being able to run programs concurrently. The programs seem to close when I close completely when I close their windows. With switcher they kept running. I'm particularly thinking of playing music and going to my calendar. Any thoughts? Maybe I just haven't learned how to make use of everything magic button and pocket plus can do for me....

Thanks!

Hang in there! It's well worth learning both. Magic Button is incredibly easy to use. I routinely bounce between apps as you indicate by tapping on their icons on the taskbar courtesy of Magic Button.

I agree that Magic Button is the way to go if using Pocket Plus. It's so easy to switch between applications or close them. And I'm not really giving up any functionality that Switcher Bar offers such as checking your battery status or adjusting brightness because I have icons for those on my main screen courtesy of Pocket Plus.

Magic Button can also put a battery status icon on the top bar. Of course, Pocket Plus has a battery status display for the status bar.
