Axim X50V and Skype issue
I tried to install Skype (from the PC using Active Sync and using CAB directly) and I cannot get it to work. It installs just fine in both cases, but when I try to run Skype, I get the "Agreement" screen and there are no buttons (like "Agree" or "Ok") for me to click. The "Tools" menu is disabled as is the "Call" and "Hangup" etc. The only option available is the 'X' (close) button which closes the agreement screen and also the executable. Any ideas?
TIA.

Are you using True VGA mode ?
Skype doesn't support True VGA mode ( at the time...) and in some cases can behave as you described above.

Actually, the accept button is at the bottom of the licence agreement. You just have to scroll through the agreement first.

Lior,
Do you know how to turn off True VGA mode? I am running at whatever is the default for the Axim.
Patrick,
I did scroll, but nothing at all anywhere.

Really? But that's what I did with my x50v. Also, it's unlikely that you're running your Pocket PC in True VGA mode.
edit: I scrolled to the bottom of the license agreement and the buttons are right there.

Is it possible for you to post a screen shot or at least the last line before the "Agree" button?

Where are you installing Skype? In Main Memory or on a storage memory card i.e. SD card? If you did not install into MM, try installing into Main Memory and see.

If u read his email carefully, "halfwind" says he does not see the buttons. And the picture was posted by "Patrick Y.".

When using SkypeOut for PocketPC, has anyone had an issue with someone saying there is a bunch of feedback on the other end of the line? Does anyone know how to fix this?

Thanks Patrick for the screenshot. That helped. I saw that I was only getting the first page of the agreement and lots of blank space after that. The vertical scroll was not moving as well. So I bought up the keyboard and kept pressing the "Space" bar until the whole page was displayed and right at the very bottom was the "Accept" button. It is really wierd that the scrolling does not work properly. Also, like PeteUALaw said, there was a lot of feedback (at both ends). Works fine when I used my laptop and PC together (using the same wireless router; different Skype users).

Yes, I had some feedback and echoing problems at first.
I found out that using headphones will prevent in most cases
The problems mentioned above.
