Install of Windows Mobil 5.0

Does anyone know if Windows Mobile 5.0 install on the X30 High or X50v without damaging it (Non-Dell Rom - just a generic copy of the Mobile 5.0 software)? I recently purchased an x50v with the free upgrade that is due out in Oct and would like to install the copy I have on my old X30 high so I can start "playing" with it but don't want to take the chance that it damages my X30 high.

I believe they're phasing out the x30 series so it probably won't support 5.0 Just wait though, I'm sure, if it is possible, someone on this forum can assist you. Good Luck.

Leaving aside the licensing issues (and the legality thereof)

Running an unsupported operating system on hardware that's not designed for it is always going to be a risk. If you're not prepared to take the risk of turning your X30 into a brick then don't even consider it
