Won't boot!

For a long time, I've suffered unreliable booting. Now, it's completely died. I was installing WA2 2.4.1.5 and it gave an error about a dll being locked. So I soft resetted and it won't boot up again. It just sits at the DELL loading screen. I tried a hard reset and it booted OK, so I installed the A04 update and it's all good. Another reset, I think it was fine. I did a restore and it won't boot now.

I presume I could do a hard reset and not restore but I really really don't want to. What else can I do?

When updating your ROM, it is better not to do a restore, rather installing all of your software fresh. I've heard restoring can overide some of the changes of a ROM update/causing problems...But restoring does not mess with the actual ROM.
