SPB PocketPlus3 and OzVGA settings

I've just upgraded from PocketPlus version 2.5 to version 3, and I'm having a little trouble with OzVGA.
In the registry settings for OzVGA, there was a string to enter so that the settings for the PocketPlus icons remain separate in "normal VGA" and in "true VGA" (so that you could have bigger icons in "true VGA" for instance).
However this doesn't work with version 3 of PocketPlus. Whatever I change in "true VGA" mode is also reflected in "normal VGA".
Has anyone found the registry string to use in this new version?

Thanks a lot!

Please, please, don't let this sink out of the first page without an answer
I'd hate to go back to version 2.5 just for the ability to modify icons separately between the two VGA modes with OzVGA...

Thanks again ! :approve:

hello there.

i have spb pocket plus 3.0 and i am using SE_VGA to switch between true vga and vga. i got no problems with it. the icons of pocket plus screen were so small so what i did was make them larger because pocket plus has that option. try SE_VGA.

GOOD LUCK

Not all of them can be made larger though - I can not make for instance the backlight display larger it is VERY SMALL.

Thanks for the answer.
Just one question, when you make the icons larger in true VGA, do they remain as "large icons" when you switch to normal VGA?

I know I diverge, admitting my ignorance, but what is this "true VGA" vs "normal VGA" ?

I too, just loaded Spb PocketPlus 3 on my x50v, and yes, the backlight slider is too small.

Despite using OzVGA since I bought my X50v, I can't really explain what it does... at least technically :)
But you can do a search on this forum for terms like "ozvga" or "se_vga", and you'll get lots of posts.
Anyone for the registry settings?

SE_VGA and ozVGA are brute force hacks that allow the x50v to run the screen at 640*480 instead of the smaller version. It basicaly allows you to up the screen real-estate, like changing the resolution of your monitor on your PC. I havnt tried the lastet version of Pocket+3 yet, but I plan on buying it on payday. I might try out the trial first though and I'll post any thing i find....

I have the same problem.

Before, I had "-HKLM\SOFTWARE\Spb Software House\Pocket Plus" in the OzVGA registry tab, and it worked.

Now, after checking the new registry keys, I tried the following:
-HKLM\SOFTWARE\Spb Software House\Pocket Plus
-HKLM\SOFTWARE\Spb Software House\Pocket Plus 2
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Spb Software House\Pocket Plus
HKLM\SOFTWARE\Spb Software House\Pocket Plus 2

None of them work. I'll probably revert to the old version if there's no solution.

Those are exactly the keys I've tried... I can't find any other linked to Pocket Plus in my registry.
Maybe this new version handles the icons in some other way?
