x50v Pocket Word Background refresh problem (Solution)
If this has been posted before I'm sorry for doing it again but in my defence I have been searching for a solution on this forum and others with no luck.
Basically on my device (x50v) I find that parts of the pocket word background fail to refresh sometimes (bottom half of the screen in list view - while opening pocket word and closing an open document as well)
If you are having this problem as well just use Tweak2k2.NET's VGA hack on the "pword.exe" file in the windows directory and problem solved.
A side effect of doing this is that the dockable toolbar in pocket word gets smaller (As far as I'm concerned it is a good thing)
That said my hx4700 never had such a problem and the VGA hack had no effect on the pocket word version on my hx4700 either. I'm assuming that means dell has included some QVGA version resources instead of versions optimized for VGA displays in the device ROM or something.

Reason: slight Modification
It also seems to make the Pocket Word's List view refresh and scroll much faster. Hope it works for everyone.
i think in general, most programs will refresh faster when u apply the VGA hack. pix doubling not needed so faster. just from personal experience when using OZvga
this can also be done without using the tweak program btw, but you'll have to search to find the file you need btw.
Here you go.
Just unzip it into your Windows folder.
(Note that this is only for those with the English version of WM2003SE.
For other languages you'll just have to rename the file, changing the 4-digit language code to your own language code)

I unzipped the file and pasted the file into the ppc windows folder, and opened pocket word. My anticipation of pocket word functioning/refreshing properly was "Sweetly" satisfied.
Thanks very much for that file. :approve: :approve: :approve: :approve:
That refresh problem has been driving me for a longtime. I really  that fix.
