How to erase outlook data?

There has been some problem and I would need to erase all outlook data so that I can start afresh.

Is there an outlook.pst like the desktop version to be erased in axim?

I do not want to hard reset .

Your input would be most appreciated.

The PPC does not store data in 1 file like the desktop version, so deleting the data will be a little harder.

If you sync, you can delete everything on the PC and then it will be erased on the next sync.

You can also delete the data by going into the appropriate application and manually deleting each entry.

There's also PIMs that can do the same thing with 1 command, Pocket Informant has a built in utility to delete all tasks, all contacts, all appointments, etc., so you may want to try PI.

What problems are you having that requires you to delete everything?

If you have Sprite backup you can backup everything except the outlook databases, hard reset and restore. But then when you sync it will of course get copied back from the PC.

You can try Pocket Informant to delete all the entries.

Or what I have done in the past when I had problems was... if you to want to delete all contacts, then on the PC Outlook open Contacts, click on View and select by Category. Now click on Edit and do Select All, this will select all contacts in all categories. Now click on Edit and Delete. This will delete all entries in Outlook Contacts. Now sync it with your PPC and all the contacts on both PC and PPC have been deleted.

When you are deleting all contacts in your Outlook, sometime Outlook comes back with an error message of item cannot be deleted. Even though it says cannot be deleted, it still deletes it. I have like 900+ contacts in my Contacts database, so one workaround I had found was to delete couple of categories at a time.
