Install Programs

I have a 1 GB CF card. Is that where I should be installing my programs, or should I install in BIS?

Also, sorry for all the newb questions. I appreciate the help.

I would install your apps to the card. Most do not require you to install them to the RAM, and I can not think of any that require you to use the BIS. I reserve my BIS for backup files only.

I install my programs to the RAM. I don't install them to my cards because I'm usually switching between 3 cards.

I'd recommend using BIS for all critical apps such as Today plugins (That don't require Main Storage) and eg.Players. (That way you always have these apps locally)
However,unless your going to be swapping cards, SD would be fine for other apps. (SD is also faster than BIS).
I however tend only to use my SD card for media storage and for large games such as SNES Emulator. Its upto you how you use it, and you can always uninstall then reinstall in BIS if you have any probs.

I've installed everything (about 10 apps) in my BIS, and my Axim appears to be running a little bit sluggish. Is this normal or should I uninstall of the apps. and install them into my SD card?

Well I've installed MOST of my apps to BIS ( appart from large ones like my dictionary etc which is installed in CF) and main apps like spb plus etc.. which are in mainmem.

currently have:
main memory 24Mb free
BIS:29.7Mb free
and docs/dict on CF (250Mb card 15Mb free)

I had most programs installed in SD, but twice now my SD has been wiped from soft reset, so I do not trust my SD slot.

doesn't appear sluggish at all.
