Connecting x50 520mhz to a pc other than mine...

Hey guys, looking to transfer a file from my GF's computer to my axim using the USB cradle. I normally connect/sync it with my pc at home. Wondering if this will work or if anyone has any suggestions. I do have a sd card that the file will be transferred to, however, she doesn't have an sd card slot on her pc and I don't have time to go out and get one. Any other suggestions? I would email it to my ppc, however it is a 200mb file. Leaving at 4am wednesday morning for Cali, so I have to get this done. Thanks in advance. Tried searching but found nothing...

Unless I'm misunderstanding the question, I think the easiest answer is to install Active Sync on your girlfriend's computer

Or are you trying to avoid that? Are you wanting to just use the USB connector (on the cradle) to connect your Axim to another computer like it was an external drive (like a thumb drive?)

Yes Correct. I do not have the active sync disc with me. I would like to just connect the PPC via usb and just use it as an 'external drive' type deal. Not sure if this is able to be done, haven't even tried plugging the axim in via cradle for fears of what might go wrong. Thanks for quick response.

Sorry I don't have any concrete answers for you (I just got my Axim last week and it's my first ever PDA) but I found this while searching for an answer for you:

Using Pocket PC as USB Mass Storage device

This CardExport is really good and works as a USB Mass Storage device.
