ssh client for my x50v

Hi all.

Other than putty, what are you guys using for ssh from your PDA's? Putty's telnet emulation works for me, but when I try ssh it freezes the whole device :(

Pocketputty works just fine to connect to my linux box with ssh on my x50v.

PocketPuTTY also works for me for SSH to my FreeBSD and MacOSX machines on my X50v (with the exception that I can't launch it from the today screen or else I get no SIP panel)

Try PockeTTY in stead. Better than PocketPutty since its still beta and has been for as long as i know.

On your server, make sure that the LoginGraceTime parameter in /etc/ssh/sshd_config is set to something reasonable. I had mine set to 10 seconds and it would time out while I typed the password, causing PocketPuTTY to hang.

Pocket Putty froze mine for SSH everytime when I first looked at it. Then something happened and it stopped - now it works perfectly!! I'm buggered if I can rememebr what it was, but it was simple I'm sure. Remove it and reinstall - hell - download it again just to make sure, but dopn't give up on its ssh capabilities with trying a few things :approve:

I have tried PockeTTY and PocketPutty as well as some telnet applications costing $100 or more. I would like to use PockeTTY as the price is right but the problem with all of the applications I have tried thus far is that I need the ability to send function keys F1 to F12 to the server I am connecting to.
