"Attention Required" on sync. Why?

Is there anyway that I can avoid this error when I try to sync my x50v with A04 Rom with ActiveSync 3.8? Everytime I get this error I have to reboot my Axim and reboot my computer. Then, I can sync properly. Does anyone know what causes this error.

"Attention Required"

This is when I try to sync my Outlook Contacts, Calendar and Tasks.

Help,
KeithGP

Are you using Outlook 2002 or higher, what happens when you click on the Attention required message?

I personally don't sync those particular things. But more information will help others solve your problem.

Usually this happens when there is a conflict between the data on your PDA and computer. I've had it hapen most often from syncing the files in the ppc's My Documents folder. Usually all it needs is some house cleaning and ActiveSync goes on about its business.

Hi
I got that massage too when i synced at home. It was because I had several Outlook profiles on my computer. I selected the one that was mine and told Outlook to always open that one!

I had that problem. Reinstalling Outlook didn't help either. I wound up getting rid of it and not syncing my contacts or calendar anymore! :)

ABsolutely nothing is working. I have reinstalled Outlook. I have reinstalled ActuveSync. I have deleted all of the calendar items and nothing. Syncing has just stopped.

Any more ideas are greatly appreciated.

go to tools/options on activesync on the axim/click on server tab/uncheck calendar, contacts and task/clilck on ok/reconnect your axim back to the computer/that should take care of this

also much better if we could chk on tools/options in activesync on the pc and make sure that sync with server option under general is not selected

the reason why this msg pops up is because the axim is trying to sync calendar , contacts and task from server rather than from the local computer with which we are using axim/has wored in my case .
