Worried my trusty X30 has broken so about that X50

I bought a Belkin travel cable for my X30 so I could recharge its batteries while driving around town from customer to customer. Problem is that I plugged the cable in what I thought was the right way and I thought wrong. I bent/broke several pins in the connector and now the X30 won't sync or recharge.

So I can either have it fixed or purchase a new X50.

Now the question. I have all my customers and other details saved on the X30 and backed up on my desktop. IF I get a X50 can I restore those backed up files preventing me from having to reenter some 200 contacts manually??

I also have one of those Dell keyboards for the X30. Will it work with the X50?

I had planned on getting a X50 around Christmas time anyone and my X30 was around 2 years old so this isn't exactly an unplanned crisis I just wasn't planning on doing this right now.

Please feel free to email me at home with any comments on my problems/concerns.

TIA

Well if your contacts are synced into outlook with your X30, you can sync them straight away with your x50 (hopefully V ) As for what tp dp.. It depends on the cost of the repair i suppose.

If you have ActiveSync installed on your desktop/laptop to sync your Contacts, then all of your contacts should transfer to the new device without a problem when you sync.

contacts synched with outlook!?!??! I hope this is an automatic feature or else it sounds like I am buggered. What I was referring to was the backup/restore feature.

Now I do remember that I have contacts selected to sync up. If so I am very happy.

Does anyone know about the keyboard business. Will that Dell expanding keyboard work by the X50? I have a sync cable that I use with that Card Export software, will that cable work with the X50? The real bitch is that I just purchased a new battery which I am sure won't work with the X50.

Thanks for the info. If I understand you I am OK.
