Universal Bluetooth HID drivers for WM2003SE?

I just purchased an Epox BT mouse and discovered that WM2003SE doesn`t have the mouse HID stack - only the keyboard entry is there. There is nothing on the Epox site.

Does anyone know of any drivers/stacks/etc that recognise additional BT mice for the X50v? I`ve searched several sites and have not been able to get a definite answer. Yes, I know I can wait for WM2005 but I`d like to use the mouse now. (USB HID stacks do not work for BT devices).

The Thinkoutside & Frogpad drivers don`t work (I didn`t think they would). I currently have the v02 ROM and the v1.5 Widcom BT stack. Does the newer v1.6 Widcom stack have any mouse defs?

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Are there any universal Bluetooth HID drivers yet?

Still looking....
Does anyone know if there is a universal BT driver available for WM2003SE?

Nope...you usually have to have drivers specific to your hardware. WM2005 is supposed to have the HID profile for at least a keyboard installed...not sure about the mouse.

I dunno how well it works - some say it does, some say it doesn't.

YES!!! IT WORKS!!
edit; Yup, it works but it's a little flakey - but then again, from what I've been reading about BT mice, this is typical.

The installation instructions are a little off but I figured it out. Instructions should state to rename the cab extension to a dll extension and drop the '-CF.cab'.

So, geeks.com is selling the Epox BT mouse for $27 and puts it on sale about once per week at $22.

All I can say is it's weird using a mouse on the tiny vga display. :)

Oh crap sorry - I forgot about that..
EDIT: Ok its fixed now. You don't need to rename anymore.
Wow, I'm surprised that worked. Someone else with that exact same mouse from the same deal tried that, and they could not even 'see' it! Just out of curiosity, how do you turn the mouse into 'discoverably' mode?

You put the mouse into discovery mode using the pairing button on the bottom.
This is the only BT mouse I've seen that does not have a discovery LED nor does it have a power switch (probably to keep the price low).
As for pairing, if the PDA times-out and turns off, I have to re-pair the mouse, which entails cycling the power on the mouse (have to pull a battery for 5 secs), resetting the PDA and then going through the pairing again. Like I said - flakey.
Hopefully, WM5 will cure this. I've already fired off an email to Epox support asking them why they don't support Windows Mobile.

I would think it's more of a problem with the actual mouse, not the PocketPC or it's software.

Quick question:

Does WM2003SE (or for the matter WM5) support Mouse right click or Mouse Scroller???

Can someone try and confirm?

Man, I have been struggling with this mouse for a week. I can't for the LIFE of me get my Axim to see this mouse at all. I've pushed the button early, waited until the last minute, held the button down, pushed it briefly, removed the batteries, tried 3 different sets of batteries, tried it far away from my computer etc etc etc.

I'm gonna' drop you a PM bigbop and maybe you can help me out. I just finally concluded that my mouse is faulty.

The TO Mouse works flawlessly with Scrolling. Right clicking seems to be problematic, but I haven't played with it much myself yet, so it may work with prodding.

Tracking and clicking like normal is extremely smooth, virtually identical to a full PC experience. I don't have any flakes or issues other than right-click (which is easily solved by holding left click).

Hehe ok - looks like it's not available to us poor mortals with non-TO mice. I tried using a USB mouse as well, and although that works, it doesnt scrool/right click.

It's probably the TO drivers, or possibly the design of the scroll wheel (maybe it sends signal differently cuz it's designed for PPCs?), or both.
