Wifi disconnecting

Since an enforced hard reset about a week ago, I've been suffering from a problem that cause my Wifi connection to disconnect when I try to use it after a lengthly period of non-use (such as reading a long web page or taking a break and coming back to PIE) or after turning on or soft resetting my device. It's hard to measure, but I'd estimate that the idle time needed for this to strike is about 60 - 120 seconds. Odessy will reconnect as if the connection had a normal blip and all will be well until the next pause.

When I got the hard reset, I took that opportunity to upgrade to A04 so I thought that was what was causing it. However, I downgraded to A03 by restoring the old ROM image (I didn't get this problem when using this image before the reset), the downgrade hasn't helped.

I get this is all programs that try to use the connection - PIE, Netfront, PocketPing etc. PIE shows the windows icon as usual but it soon disappears and nothing happens. Netfront 3.2 sometimes just dies, sometimes gives DNS errors. PocketPing just can't find the servers I try to connect to. I don't get this when using a GPRS connection through my mobile phone. I can't try a different access point, but there has been no change in my access point for months. I tried rebooting it anyway, no change. I use 40bit WEP, or whatever that's supposed to be...

OK, let's see how well submitting this goes. I think the connection will be dead but we'll see... :S

I guess you didn't get disconnected, huh? ;)

Have you tried disabling power save or rebooting router?

Yes, both.

I did get disconnected actually, but I viewed a preview rather than posting so when the connection came back up, I just submitted then and it was no problem :)

How do I close that down? The only start-up service (according to Memmaid) is OBEX.

By tweaking my AP (changed shared auth to open) I no longer need the Odessy client to connect, however this hasn't helped.

It sounds like the PowerSave is enabled in the WLAN on the Axim.
