When you remove the primary battery, does it automatically reset? Say, to change to your secondary battery, would you lose everything?

no, the backup battery would take over and supply the power. However, Dell says that the backup battery will ONLY last for a half hr at the most. If you take both batts out, a hard reset will occur.

Actually, when I do a hard reset, I delete **EVERYTHING** in BIS first, then hard reset.

When I start 'clean', I want to made sure it IS 'clean'.

Assuming your PDA isn't already hosed and you can still sync -- just EXPLORE to your 'Built In Storage', delete everything.

BE SURE TO BACK UP YOUR DATA!!!

Programs can be replaced, your entered data can not.
