Stop auto dialing from X50x through verizon bluetooth phone?
I gt my pda to dial through my verizon phone via BT, but when I dont want to use it, the pda keeps trying to dial the verizon phone #777....anyway to stop this?
As well as email, sometimes other programs, for example weather plug-ins, also have an auto-connect setting which tries to connect to the internet at regular intervals. You can also disable these.
Well, this problem is back. It seems randomly the bluetooth dialer will automatically start trying to dial...even if BT is off...I did remove the auto check in Outlook on the PPC, any other idears? Thanks
are you sure its trying to dial.... i somtimes have the notification box come up but bluetooth is not enabled and there is no blinking blue light... for me it seems to be "asking me" if i want to use the #777 option... but it doesnt turn BT on and start dialing.... if BT doesnt come on --- you're fine... its just a notification

I noticed PeteUALaw refer to the #777 option (in dialing a phone number). What does this do? I have been trying to place a voice call from my pda via Bluetooth on my Verizon RAZR V3m, but I can only get a data connection. Is there an option for changing connections to voice connections via some option/prefix like this?
#777 is what you tell the axim to dial on the phone to start a data connection i.e. to chek your mail or the internet from the axim via your phone.
i haven't found a way to dial a contact in my axim on my phone - it always goes through as a data call. i chalked it up to good old verizon crippling their phones though i suppose i could be wrong.
AximMarkSD,
That is what I am afraid of as well. Of course, Motorola, Verizon and Dell have been of no help, each suggesting the problem lies with the other provider's component.
I have the same problem. I have tried researching this. As near as I can tell, the problem lies with Verizon removing some of the BT functionality. There is a way to put it back in called SEEM editing your phone. I can't really tell you much more than that.

Also, isn't #777 illegal?

I have seem edited my v3m so i can use BT dun. I would love to be able to use my axim for contacts and have it dial through the V3M. If anyone has done this please post

Wow, so there is no way to dial contacts from my X51v through my Moto E815 (verizon)?
More and more I am getting fed up with verizon and their over-bearing way of shutting down services
