So, it comes to the point of cost\effort question.
My device is tuned perfectly ( for me ) with A04 Rom.
No way I can tuned it again to perfection in one hour...
I know for sure that I'll upgrade to WM5.
I think I'll wait for October unless ...
A. Something really bad will happened to my X50v and I'll have to hard reset it,
B. Someone will comes with an established statistics that indicates a much better performance with A05 Rom.
Done successfully and restored a Sprite Backup in a jiffy, for sure the SD has been speed up :approve: . seems all good untill now ill get in touch for any problems .

i give up on trying to convince people to update their stuff. I guess the same people steer clear away from "windows update" and they laugh at vehical recalls.
did the upgrade and restored with sprite in rom update mode. no problems and can still connect at work via cisco wireless with EAP/Peap but dont really se any diferences anywhere else except that version now shows A05
I installed it fine and restored with Sprite no problem. I still get Wifi disconnections when the connection isn't used any more. Other than that, I've noticed no change. SD may be faster, I don't know and didn't bother to benchmark before upgrading. The wifi issue is the only problem I have.
I installed A05 and my handheld kept doing soft boots after I restored using Sprite Backup. I restored A04 and everything is back to normal. On the Today screen one of the sections garbled and then the handheld rebooted. I guess I'll wait until it's officially released.

did you use the ROM restore mode in Sprite? a regular restore may overwrite something that was in the update. can't be sure. you could always do the update and see if it does it before you do the restore.
Question is why have Dell withdrawn it so fast? My worry is that this might be one of those things that is more trouble than its worth and with WM 05 so close is there much point in all the hassle of upgrading and re-installing?
and that is the reason my Axim is still at A03 - if it aint broke, dont fix it... hehehehe...
ill just let all the users experience all the quirks, and ill learn from themmm...
