Compact Flash II Microdrive

will a 2.2gb Compact Flash II work in my x50v? If so what is Compact Flash I and II whats the differnce

yes they both will work. Im not sure the difference. CF I is a little bit skinnier and there will be a small gap b/t CF and SD. If you are looking at the Magicstor CF card i would recommend against it. Do a search for "Magicstor" on here and you will see some problems people have had. It is not very good quality.

IIRC....those Microdrives have a much higher fail rate than the traditional CF cards. There are moving parts and the build quality isn't the same, especially for the 2.2GB Magicstor card.

Plus they will cut the battery life by half.

Solid state is the best way to go.

I agree with this. I had a Magicstor 2.2GB MD and, while it worked very well, it hammers your battery like nothing else.

I gave mine away after a few weeks and got a normal 1GB instead.
