Ordered mine on the 10th & its here today on the 11th and its here today I didnt even pay shipping I was surprised

well, i'll bet I could have had mine in a day or two if I hadn't gone for the 'deal' like alot of others did. Of course I would have paid a couple hundred dollars more to get it quicker. Saving that much money has eased the pain.

I just used a coupon I bought from ebay for $9.99 and got the total price of my Axim x50v to $330. That's including a 512mb SD card and it still shipped a day after I ordered it.

I think the extra battery was the shipping killer for most of us. Though I think most of the 26th, 27th people had the GPS deal also.

I ordered my X50v on 8/7/05 and my ship date is scheduled for 8/17/05. Right now the order status shows as "In Production" with a date of 8/7/05 (my order date). I did order the deal with the extra capacity battery. I was hopeful that it would have shipped already. If you call Dell, to check on order status, is the information the same as what shows on-line? It seems that the on-line order status may not be accurate according to some of the posts. Anyone else out there order their Axim on the 7th of this month? If so, what is the status of your order.

Calling CS is a joke. They don't have any information at all. Was on the phone with them today, an hour of my time, all I was trying to do was find out if it is the battery that is holding up the order, got transferred 4 times and each time the department wasn't sure why I was xferred there..hahaha I have to laugh at all of this or I will end up with an ulcer...

Just checked; my unit shipped this morning. I did not, however, request expedited shipment, so it will probably get here late next week or early the week after.

I have, however, downloaded the users manual and am perusing it.

Well I'm back, I went through this same stuff before. I ordered an x30H when they first came out. Order got postponed 5 times, finally just gave up an bought a palm. Now I couldn't pass up 35% off so I thought I would try again. I will wait and see, on the phone I was promised shipping on the 11th, now it's been moved out to the 18th. Sent an email, very polite that got me a canned response that since all products are made to order I would just have to wait.

I can't believe these things are made to order, but that's their story and their sticking to it.

I will wait for while but one more extension in the delivery date and it's HP time.

For those who actually got prompt delivery I am jellies, figure out all the little tricks soon I am sure I will have questions.

I ordered mine on the 25th (GPS Deal and the Rhino hard-case)... along with a Dim 2400 desktop for my daughter (who will also get my X5).

Ship date WAS 8/9... emailed on 8/9 and told "advise you of a delay with respect to a promotional item included in your recent order". New date - 8/16.

Okay, was the promotional item -
A) The Dell GPS
B) The Dell Printer

Got me... I did email Dell CS about the 2 week delay from order to original ship date and was given the, "gee, well, ship dates are pulled out of the air... but here is a free upgrade to next day shipping..."

I dont wanna gripe, but sheesh... I want my X50v!!!!

I truly understand how you feel. I think we have all gotten basically the same response and are stuck "in production" somewhere.LOL the worst part is that a lot of us got everything to go with the axim and not the axim! heehee

well, the CS guy was apparently wrong...he said my x50v would ship out yesterday...even though today is my theoretical ship date. Guess I'll just keep clicking that order status and see what happens...afraid to call Dell again with the horror stories about them delaying orders of people who call too much.
