New Batch Of Axim's

Is it just me or does it seem like these Axim's that were purchased with the steep discount are having a lot of problems? I am exchanging my 3 week old one for a new one because it had an scratch. I'd rather have a scratch then no BIS!

I dont think there is an "Axim X50v steep discount edition". They all go through the same built process -regardless of what you end up paying for it...

I dont think you'll be able to send it back with 1 dead pixel. Any manufacturer that makes devices with LCD screens will have an "acceptable" range of dead pixels that are considered "normal". It changes from company to company...
I have not turned mine on yet (at home, charging). I hope I dont have any :)

I believe I just read on this very site that Dell has a zero-tolerance policy on dead pixels with the Axims. With LCD monitors and laptop computers you would be right, however.

i think it says somewhere in the book that you need to power cycle it once to make the backup battery charge.

Headphone jack failed on my first Axim (which was bought during a really good sale). :)

That reminds me -- gotta check the UPS site to make sure Dell got my old Axim.
