Worried Multiple Partnerships

This may have a really simple solution, but I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. What does it mean specifically when it says you can have up to 2 standard partnerships with a Dell x50? Does it mean I can set my unit to sync with my home PC AND my work PC simultaneously?

References to any documentation is greatly appreciated.

I'm mobile at the moment, so i can't give you any links.

you can sync your pim data with 2 pcs ( but you can only sync outlook email with one). So yes you can sync at home and in the office

psionandy is right you can sync with 2 pc's I do it and the only thing you have to be careful of is the default settings for AS.

Its pretty simple you plug in at home and set up a partnership and then you plug in at work and set up a partnership BUT before doing that do a backup 'cos I usually find the AS default setting is for the PC/Server to overwrite the cotents of the Axim - mine is usually set up for the Axim to overwrite the others.

I learnt the hard way after setting up partnerships and wondering where half my data had gone Fortunately I had done a backup so was able to change the settings in AS and restore all but a few lost appointments and then sync with the PC's and get everything up to date.

If you want to sync with more than 2 PC's it is possible and there are threads on the site but it takes a piece of third party software.

I use XTNDConnect, as I have to sync with Lotus Notes, it allows you to sync with as much PCs as you want.
Though at home I sync via ActiveSync, which is actually allows you to create only two partnerships. I was really disappointed with that. Thanks XTND I was I able two solve my two problems with one piece of software.
Methinks that two partnerships are poorly supported in ActiveSync. The primary issue is ability to sync mail with only one PC.

Thanks

Thanks for the information regarding XTNDConnect. It looks like a great product. Just to make sure I read correctly, I can have two profiles with this product and sync with two different sets of accounts (email, calendar, contacts, etc.) on two separate PCs?
