Notes on Calendar w/o Appointment

I love my Axim x50, but there is one shortcoming that I really miss from my planner. That is the ability to log notes on the calendar day it occurs. Basically, it's the space on the right side of a traditional 2-day planner where you can note any activities that occured that day. These aren't necessarily tasks or appointments. In my case, I note when I make personal calls, cancellation/confirmation numbers, when I observed something, etc. I have combed the web for the past two hours and I can't seem to find an application that will allow me to add notes to a date without there being an appointment or tasks associated with it.

I would really like to have the notes associated with the calendar object so that I can just pick the day of the calendar and see what I logged that day. I don't really like how notes or tasks are kept in the default applications.

I just checked pocket informant, and they have a built in journal which you can just add stuff to -- including phone numbers, dates, write what you want -- and it automatically adds the current time/date to it. Looks like a pretty powerful little tool. Don't need to make an appt with it either. Should definitely check it out! I believe they have a demo too.

Oh yeah, and you can attach it to appointments or contacts whatever if you would like to.

What I do is create an all-day appointment and jot my notes down in the Subject line.
