Transfer rates kinda slow?

I'm a relatively new owner of a Axim x50 mid since a month and a half ago, and I'm really enjoying the machine, but there's something bugging me about the transfer rates.

It takes a long time. I read somewhere that an average transfer was about 2.3MBit/sec. That doesn't really match up with what I'm getting; it takes half an hour to send a 50MB file to my Axim. Shouldn't it take 4 minutes at most with a 2.3MBit connection?

What you want is a card reader (and if you have USB2 you want a usb2 cardreader).

The axim only works at USB1 speeds and activsync acts as a major bottleneck.

Or use card export from softick. Google that, it works great! Turns ur axim into a card reader and takes out activesync

2.3MBit is 0.2875MByte.
1byte = 8bits.

Yea, and that's around 300kps. For 300kps/sec, it should still only take 3-4 minutes.

Thanks for the replies everyone. I'll need to check out card export.
