So it is completely unpractical to keep the card in all the time.
I dont like the way Dell washed their hands and say "Go talk to AudioVox".... I dont buy this "Dont blame me, I am just the middle man" argument... With the card Dell are the middleman granted, but they are offering it up as a GPRS solution ... and if Dell put something on their site for customers to buy, I presume they have done their homework on it and it works well together.... If you buy a branded fridge from an electrical store and it does not fit in your kitchen, you send it back to the electrical store, you dont start contacting the manufacturers of the fridge...

Just a cosmic thought, did you ever directly ask to return the unit under the 21 day money back or ask to return for a refund? Dell certainly can't (or wouldn't want to) re-engineer the card as it's not practical and quite probably, illegal without consent of the original manufacturer.
As for your comment about the "poor screen quality", if you read the reviews they make it clear that it is their subjective opinion and many say that for the large price advantage, the Axim has the best display in its class. I'm sorry you're unhappy but don't blame the manufacturer that you didn't do your homework. If you go out and buy a new Ford Focus and decide that you really want an Escape, should Ford rebuild it for you or give you a full refund and sell you another at the same cost?
