Magic Key Combination

Hi,
I was wondering if anyone knows the "magic key combination" for the X50/X50v.
I was reading and know that for the X3 the combination is: Contacts + ScrollClick + Sleep + Reset and then release Sleep+Reset but hold Contacts+ScrollClick for at least 20 seconds.
The problem is that in the X50, the button configuration is very different, does anyone have the solution for my problem?
Thanks,

The one used to start the embedded bootloader and flash the ROM from a .img file in the SD Card, without having to use ActiveSync.

C'mon guys. I know some people here knows it. I've worked @ Dell, but not on this project. The X50 project name inside Dell is DiMaggio, but I left when they started testing it.
Still waiting...

Copy the new rom on a Fat32 formatted SD card, put it in your device. Press PowerOn and Wireless button than click once in reset button, you will access a menu to upgrade from the SD. It might work for you, I didn't try because I was successfull to upgrade via activsync.

Also, if you want to check your device, press PowerOn and Record button than click oncce in reset button, you will access to your axim diagnostic tools utility.

Don't forget to backup first because you will end up with a hard reset

Thanks speedo. That combination worked. But I wasn't successful in upgrading the ROM. The SD Update gave me the following message: “No suitable image found! Image update failed. Please try it again”
I tried to use all the versions available and still no luck. I don’t know if it has anything to do with the fact that my current ROM is a X04 (engineering ROM).
I’m very disappointed, ‘cause this ROM is very unstable and I have to soft reset it every 5 minutes…

Perhaps a silly question, but have you at least done a hard reset (without a restore) to see if it helps? Also, since A05 has just been released, you could just upgrading to that.

I wish it was that simple. As I said before, the unit I have is a engineering unit, it has a X Rev ROM, NOT an A Rev.
So, when I try to flash the ROM using the ActiveSync it doesn’t let me do it, ‘cause it says the X04 rev is newer then the A05 rev, and also says I can’t downgrade the ROM. I thought that by using the SD Image updater, but since I have a X rev ROM in it, I guess I need something more than just the bootloader.

If you can get an English "backup" ris file from somewhere...
I knew there is a program called ris2ris0.exe to convert it into ris0 format, then you need a "fixed" aximupdate.exe to restore it. Then you can apply the latest DELL ROM(A05).

I can't get it working. Do you hold poweron and record together, then let go, then press soft reset, or press poweron record and softreset at the same time?

I didn't get it. Isn't a RIS file the same as a IMG? I thought it was, cause the linux kernel come in RIS and people change the extension to IMG so the Axim can boot Linux from the SD card.
Can you help me here?
Thanks,
