Record and take notes???

Is there a way I could use my x50v to record meetings/seminars AND take notes? All the ways I have tried to simultaneously write (Word and notes in tasks) stops the recording in Notes. Can this be done?
FR

NoteM allows you to record and take notes, I just tried it. I started the recording, then opened up pocket excel and started typing away while talking. Works perfectly! Just remember to turn off your system volume because the screen taps could probably drive you nuts.
I can't remember where I got NoteM, but it is freeware and there is probably a bunch of links here if you do a search.

So is the answer "No" with the current software on the Axim?
I checked out NoteM but I wasn't impressed with the reviews of the program

I use NoteM too, it's fantastic. The only down side I've seen (well, heard :) ) is that the screen taps while you write can be heard in the recording. With a BT keyboard a little distance away that might not be an issue.

I just tried writing and recording at the same time in the standard Notes program; seems to work fine.

then how about trying Resco Audio Recorder?

since this app is separate from your Notes app - you could "multitask" it to record while you take down notes...
