Help about wifi connectivity problem

Hi everyone,

I am new here. I just bought my Axim X50v week ago. But now I need some help, 'cause I had some problem when I tried to connect my x50 to my company's network.

I have already set up the wireless connection using the proper SSID and WEP key value. The status of the WLAN Utility is "connected to network". And I have full green bar at the right bottom corner of my PDA.

The strange thing is that when I connect my PDA to my laptop via the cradle/activeSyn. I can connect to internet and view webpage without any problem. but when I disconnect my PDA from my laptop and try to connect to internet, I got an error message says

"Cannot Connect

Unable to connect: You have no modem entries created, and no network card present"

And I noticed that the icon at the top center changed, losing the circle on the head. When I click on this icon, the message is:

"Connectivity

To connect to either the Internet or work, set up a new connection in Settings."

But when the PDA connected to the laptop, the message is:

"
Connectivity

Work PC connection"

Could anybody helps me out? Thanks a lot!!

Welcome to Aximsite!

The reason it works on the cradle is because you are accessing the Internet via ActiveSync passthrough, not wifi. Take a look at the wifi guide for help:
