today i was typing in pocket word and all of a sudden Tahoma seems to be an ugly font for no apparent reason. so i went to 'format' & try to get some better looking fonts. and guess what? there are only 3 fonts I can access from pocket word
how can i install new fonts and where do i get them?
you can activesync fonts across to your axim from your desktop.. and it does the conversion whatsits for you

I would also like some different fonts. Can you be more specific in how to Activesync them over? Once done, can you use these other fonts on the Today screen? TIA.
ok i went to the Fonts directory and grabbed a font. for Times New Roman there are 4 files:
TNR
TNR bold
TNR bold italic
TNR italic
does it mean in need to copy all 4 to get the bold & italic fonts?
also, is there anyway to set it to the default font in pocket word? cos i think mine is stuck with tahoma.
Just copy them from windows fonts on your PC to windows fonts on your ppc.
You may need some hack software to get them on your today screen

It's really as simple as it sounds, just highlight the ones you want in your desktop pc's font folder, copy, then paste to your Windows/fonts folder on the pocket pc. Bear in mind tho, some font sets are HUGE, like several MB, particularly the tru-type fonts. But if you choose some basic ones like the Monotype Corsiva or Comic Sans, they display nicely on your handheld and don't take up much space. You may even try creating a fonts folder on your sd/cf card (if you use either) and put the fonts there first to see if that works. Some people are using the FontsOnStorage proggy, I guess that would work, I've never tried it.
As you can see by the attache thumbnail, I was able to use the transferred font for WA2 and Pocket Plus. I used Tweaks2k2 to apply the font to the system. It does not change the rest of the Today screen, however. Does anyone know if/how that can be done?
