We did have a list, but i believe Emulamer has it. You maybe able to contact him but most likely not, I hardly am able to get the time to speak to him anymore. Install this new Gapi Tweak and fool around with the settings until you are satisified with the selection you make. Emulamer still has Gapi Tweak 1.11 still up on his site just incase you want to switch back or it does not work out for you...

Use just Enhanced Driver, X-scale LCD Controller, make sure the Gapi Tweak is running (push start/stop button to get box checked).
Also grab Tala's PocketSnes, it's alot better than Emulamer's initial optimized Pocket Snes...

*KnipKnup- Mapopolis has been tested with this New Gapi Tweak and works correctly (don't know what settings to use, thats what you can find out ;) ) I have not tested it with the A05 Rom as I have not upgraded my Rom since I bought my Axim X50v... waiting for Windows Mobile 5.0 :approve:!

Ok, seeing as how I was the one that "leaked" the 2.0a , I figured I'd post my reason for being "dishonest".

First, emulamer has been completely absent. I have emailed him on MAny occasions to get a status update, with no response for literally months now. This alpha IS good, and is what a lot of people have been waiting for. I figured developement had been abandoned. If emulamer has real life issues, I'm sorry to hear that.

Second, I had no idea there was a second developer. If I had known there was someone else I could contact, I never would have posted it.

Draw your own conclusions on my honesty from my actions, but i believe it only could help. I included all warnings and notes on the state of the program.

I'm sorry if what I did was wrong, but I can only imagine how much longer this would have been delayed.

Don't worry about it, I'm just disappointed that it was put out to the community before i could do so

. It's like Dan East (Creator of Pocket Quake), he has a Pocket Opengl Quake in the making and will be releasing a beta out to some select people (beta testers). How would he feel if it was released out to the public before it was suppose to... That's why we programmer/developers are kinda picky of who we can trust as beta testers. Anyway, I'm glad alot of people like this release so that it can tide most of us over until Windows Mobile 5.0 comes out later this month( or so the rumor goes :up_to_som ). I guess no one has any problems with this new Gapi Tweak though as no one has posted any yet... I guess thats a good thing...

Me and Emulamer revealed the new gapi tweak that was being tested and at the time i was a beta tester... It grew kinda bigger than that though as i closely became his right hand man on the project

! Picard was helping us but jumped off the project when we started doing 2.0a, I think he is busy with his new work right now anyway:

Man I wish I could get PPL to run stably (if that's a word). The new release on 9/9/05 seems to break the 2.0a tweak again. Somehow PPL is sneaking around the tweak.

I'll try PPL tonight (If I can get a download, I was a beta tester a few months back, maybe someone can email me a copy ;) )
but if it's not workable through the Enhanced Gapi Tweak, try it off (Original Driver option). Some programs just won't work with the new Gapi Tweak...
I'll also try to contact the creators of PPL to see if they can release a copy that works with this new Enhanced Gapi Tweak...

I am a very active PPL tester. Alain, the creator hasn't been able to fix PPL to work with the tweak, but everytime I have had help from the x50v Tweak creators, we have been able to fix it. Please email me, and we can work on it.

Well I've emailed the creator/ developer of PPL 0.8 Pre- Release and hopefully i'll be getting some good news soon (or maybe you all will before me ;) ). Once I get confirmation about this situation/ program, I'll be testing it out with the new Gapi Tweak 2.0a...

STi Sev... I have no clue why you posted in the old Gapi Tweak Thread but I will answer it in this New thread, so listen closely to my answer ;)... Did you read my first post?
I gave a few notes about Enhanced Gapi Tweak 2.0a but I'll repeat it...

1.This is in alpha/beta format, meaning it may still have bugs.
2.The settings you put for this New Enhanced Gapi Tweak does not get saved into your registry. After each soft reset you do, it does not turn on by itself, you must do it manually every time.
Go into your Start menu=> settings=> system=> Enhanced Gapi Tweak=> click on the Start/Stop to get it running.
3.If you need help to get certain programs to display properly,
please email me or Emulamer for any of your inquires or post about it.

Note 2 is what you are experiencing. After each reset, after you install this new Gapi Tweak, it does not turn on by itself. You must turn it on Manually every time, not once... more than once. I gave the steps above... it's up to you to follow them ;)..

I have been trying out new builds with the PPL creator today to no avail. I don't think the creator knows what to do next. I think the tweak checks for the message que every 500 ms. Perhaps it needs to be shorter. I would love it if you could email me or PM me. I want to get this fixed :-)

Just a note, I will be emailing you later this evening or tomorrow about PPL but just as Me and Emulamer have said before, our development of this new Enhanced Gapi Tweak 2.0a has screeched to a hault. Me and him both are highly excited with WM5.0 and it's infinite possibilities with Direct X/3D. Sometime this month or early next month we will be getting WM 5.0 once it steps foot outside it's door ;)...

Just to set the record straight, 2.0a was effectively dropped because it doesn't work very well vs. 1.x and I don't currently have the time (or the time to gain the knowledge) to find a better way of doing it. Since people are apparently using it and having better luck with it than I expected, I'm going to spend some time this upcoming weekend to clean up the code and fix some of the worse bugs so that it will at least function as designed, if not as intended.

I pretty much picked apart the code and rewrote it in a more modular form, then compiled and sent the 2.0a driver to 5 or 6 people that volunteered to test it (da1writer was one of them). It was mainly put on hold due to the amount of problems that surfaced that couldn't be solved in the current structure. The goal of 2.0 was to improve compatibility and stability of the driver, and it didn't look like it had done either. Overall, 1.x works more often, more stably and faster than 2.0.

I really don't care all that much that 2.0a was released out onto the forums, I just didn't bother because it's not really in a state that I would consider anywhere near as good as 1.x, let alone better.

Note taken, which I mentioned most of what you said in the first post, you just put it into a more elaborate form. I too still think it has many bugs that we have not fixed/addressed and maybe we can further look into. I also did not care much of Enhanced Gapi Tweak 2.0a being released out to the community and I only posted it because there were too many people asking for it (via email or instant messenging), but i did mention the small notes that you have said to many of us beta testers. If you further the project along (if you happen to gain some time with it), I'll be honored to continue figuring out what programs work best with what settings and see if certain programs are fixed (ie a list). Please email me Emulamer or contact me via instant messenging (MSN would be nice), haven't heard from you for a while and it would be great to catch up on a few things :approve: !
