Some rumours in Russia

Some russian sites posted news that one of the X51 models line will have a hard-drive. I wonder, is true? or that maybe just talks about 256 mbs?

anything is possible seeing as its all rumours at the mo, allthough it would probably be a good guess if the x51 series does contain a hard drive it would probably be a microdrive. the only thing we know for sure is it will have built in bluetooth.

Nope, I haven't seen the "my work got me a new x51" thread. Do you have a link?

But you should say 'rumoured' not 'confirmed', since Dell (who make the x51) have not confirmed it.

Yeah, I was removed by the request of dell. So, the information provided by that thread is probably correct otherwise dell won't be so sensitive about it.

I believe there won't be a HD built-in, only 256MB BIS. I believe they have to redesign the device to incorporate a microdrive. Also, it is ONLY x51 .

New Hitachi HD:

Smallest, Biggest One-Inch Drive

"Mikey" will be the industry's smallest one-inch hard drive with the highest storage capacity, between 8-10 GB. With a physical dimension of 40 x 30 x 5 mm, it is designed for the smallest handheld devices with needs for ample, yet, affordable storage. In addition, through an integrated chipset, "Mikey" will enable up to a 40-percent reduction in power consumption over the existing Microdrive product.

If they include a 4GB drive and a screen that the equal or better than the 50v and I'll be giving them my money this holiday.
