Arrow Overclocking x50v's Graphics Card!!!

I understand it's possible to overclock the CPU on a PPC. But on a Computer it's possible to overclock the GFX card's Cpu and Ram speed, since the X50v has one, is this also a possible option?

I wouldn't. There's no ventilation in the Axim therefore not much leeway for the addition of more heat. Also on PC's you can upgrade the cooling fan and heatsink on your videocard which isn't an option for Axim's.

Lets see...
the pocket pc is designed for maximum power saving... so it does sound possible, however it might need the gpu at full power to run the display.
So we must find the speed and the options for the GPU first.

(I think we can OC the gpu... cant OC my cpu properly but I know I can)

Wouldn't that cancel out your warranty by fiddling around with hardware?

I'm sure it would. Lets first see more 2700g programs before we start talking about OCing.

According to aquariaguy, overclocking will void your warrenty. Therefore using XCPU scaler will void your warrenty?

Most of the time yes. Prevents people from ethically overclocking something to death then send it back for killing it at no cost to them.

I could care less about overclocking the CPU or GPU untill we at least have a few viable games out there that pushes the unit.

Whens mobile quake coming?

There is a pocket quake. You just need to buy the old Quake and Quake II for the pak file. The exe file to fun the paks are here.

On my x50v, the GPU is fast enough for pocket quake. So no point overclocking.

Pocket Quake isn't 2700g optimized. Therefor, it isn't the GPU that is fast enough, it would be the processor...

Ohh, I see. Isn't the 2700g slower at GDI applications? And if Pocket QUake is a GDI app, then the 2700g + driver is quick enough, then having it 2700g-optimised will just give you extra fps that is not required.

Are there any indications in 2700g-optimised applications where it is not fast enough?
