Actually, the next business day is useless. it doesn't mean anything to Dell. I've had to replace my Axim twice and each time it took minimally 4 days to get it. I even reminded them multiple times about next business day and it didn't do anything. It's a worthless warranty if your expecting to be at your doorstep the next day.

Only time I've had to take them up on one of their "Advanced Exchange" policies was for a Pocket DJ that my son had dropped. A refurbished one was at my door in two days along with a pre-paid package to send back the broken one. Quite satisfactory, IMHO, especially for a problem that was the customer's fault. For my Axim, I added the 2-year "Complete Care" coverage as well. Very cheap insurance in case my X50v decides to take a dive out of my hand!
May I also point out that Dell's exact wording on the Advanced Exchange is "...we will ship you a replacement unit the next business day." Says nothing about on "your doorstep the next day" or "overnight shipping."

I would have LOVED for them to have shipped the next business day. Unfortunatley that NEVER happened.
My comment was on the Next Business Day, not the warranty. they were fine doing the replacement, just not in getting it out according to their own policy.
Akheron: Why is it complaining when a company doesn't do what you paid them for? Am I supposed to be satisfied that they don't follow their own agreements?
the problem on their advanced exchange is that they send a REFURBISHED unit. I ended up refusing and returning the refurbished unit because it was no better than my own. prefered to live with the minor screen flaw mine had, vs. starting over with a unit that didn't look as good as mine.

notice it says next business day shipping. Doesn't mean that you'll receive it next business day. pretty clear to me. it might take 4/5 days or even more to reach to you depending on where you live.

In the event you have a warranty issue (problem) with your Axim that cannot be resolved over the phone, we will ship you a replacement unit the next business day. Synchronize your new unit, ship back the defective unit and continue to enjoy the power of your Axim handheld.
I say that their exchange service is good because I think 70% of the times the users break their own PPCs trying to install applications and run different things without much knowledge of how their PPCs and the OS work (or maybe just pure negligence). if you look at users who are not experimenting that much, you'll notice that they have less problems/issues with their PPCs. Refurbished units do have problems sometimes but you still have to praise Dell's efforts. Just the other day I saw this thread where a guy got his Axim replaced SIX TIMES. not many companies I know will do that for you.

I really don't have any idea how I could make it any more clear than I have. It did NOT SHIP the next day. Please help me understand how I can make that better understood?
and no, I'm not a bleeding edge user that craps around with it. the screen died out on the first one, and the refurb they sent wouldn't sync from the cradle. don't even get me started on them not sending out a replacement for the bad replacement they sent.
